2011 National Cherry Blossom Poster

The Official 2011 Poster was created Virginia Illustrator Michael Glenwood Gibbs who famously known for his conceptual art for magazines, corporate publications, books, posters, and newspapers. The poster features cherry blossoms with the Washington Monument in the background.

Gibbs illustrations have exhibited at the Society of Illustrators gallery in New York, the Edison Gallery in DC’s gallery district, Billy Shire Gallery in Los Angeles, Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, the Corcoran Museum, the Ratner Museum in Bethesda, MD, the Art Institute of Washington, 87 Florida Gallery in Washington, DC, the Cafritz Arts Center Gallery in Silver Spring, MD, and the gallery at Montgomery College.
